Another change you can see in PhoneBox plans is that now, instead of Postpaid Plans, they offer Monthly Plans. The name change intention was to be more clear for clients what are the real differences between each option: Prepaid and Monthly.
The differences you may want to know before choosing each what’s the best plan for you, are:
In a Prepaid plan the billing is expirable, which means that once you reach your 30 days, your number will expire unless you extend your plan paying for the next 30 days bill cycle to start.
Also, the billing cycle can start on any day of the month. PhoneBox will count 30 days from the activation date you choose.
As a Prepaid client, you can not add different services in the middle of the month, you can only use what you have paid upfront.
On the prepaid plan, your usage is controlled by PhoneBox, which means that once you have spent your full data amount, PhoneBox will block your data and you will need to contact them or log in online to request a $15/1GB Top-up.
In a Monthly plan your billing is recurring, which means that your number never expires, so every month you will receive an invoice.
In a Monthly Plan though, you have a fixed billing cycle that starts every 2nd day of the month and goes till the 1st of each month. So that means, that depending on the day of the month you activate your service, you will have to pay a prorated fee plus the next month’s invoice, which will be returned to you in case you cancel your number line with PhoneBox.
For a Monthly customer, the additional services are flexible. Any extra services, such as data overage, international calling, etc will be reflected in your next bill, so you pay after use.
That means you have control over your data usage. PhoneBox will send you a text message when you spend %100 of your monthly data and will keep on giving you 1GB more. If you would like to stop the service, you just have to answer back.
Prepaid | Monthly Plan | |
Billing | Expiring | Recurring |
Billing Cycle | Anytime | Fixed |
Additional service | Restriction | Flexibility |
Usage | Auto-control | Self-control |
Service | Stop | Continue |
