Safer and trustable: Pay with Google Pay in PhoneBox!

As PhoneBox is always trying to provide you with the best and most simple service you can have, we are now offering a new method of payment in our self-serve.

Now, besides paying with Credit Card, PayPal, AliPay, and WeChat Pay, you can also do the payment of your bill with Google Pay.

How does it work?

When you pay with Google, you associate your credit card to your Google account and Google sends your payment information such as billing address, card number, and name, to us, so you won’t have to worry about writing, double-checking, and confirming those details every time.

Security

But, you might be wondering: Is it safe to trust Google Pay to share my card information?
The answer is “Yes”. What Google Pay does when registering the transaction, is instead of your actual credit card number, they generate a unique, encrypted number. And this virtual account number is removed if the screen lock is disabled on your device.
If you lost your phone, Google’s Find My Device service can be used to remotely wipe sensitive information or you can sign in to your Google Pay account from another device and remove any cards or bank accounts you have registered.

Brief History

Although Google Pay’s history started with Google Wallet as the company’s first mobile payment system, developed for Android devices in 2011, it was just in 2018, that Google announced that Google Wallet would join the other payment offerings under Google Pay branding. Google Wallet was then renamed Google Pay Send.

The Google Pay user website maintains a list of supported banks by country.
It works with hundreds of banks and payment providers. Specifically, cards from Visa, MasterCard, Discovery and American Express.

Make it easier and register your card now with Google Pay!
