As part of our commitment to provide maximum protection to our users, we are rolling out some big changes that follow Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) guidelines and are designed to protect the online transactions even better.
What does this mean to our clients? It means that certain manual payment methods will no longer be available after March 31, 2023.
This includes all forms of one-time manual payments handled by our customer service representatives via Phone calls, Email, Text messages, LiveChat, and other channels including but not limited to WhatsApp, LINE, KakaoTalk, and WeChat.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a set of security standards designed to ensure that all companies that accept, process, store or transmit credit card information maintain a secure environment.
They set guidelines for companies based on their transactions.
Since PhoneBox reached a big volume of transactions between clients and the company, we now need to take one step forward on safe payments.
There’s nothing to worry about though. PhoneBox users can still safely complete transactions through our Online Self Serve or the PhoneBox App. And if it’s more convenient, there is always the option for in-person visits to our physical stores too.
No action is required from our clients or partners regarding these changes – they will automatically become effective after March 31, 2023.
It’s one of our goals to make sure our client’s online transactions remain safe, and these updates are our way of doing it! This way we can achieve the highest level of security and keep you safe.
